We do plan to charge renters a small one-off access fee once the platform has real supply to justify it. It is not available today, no prices are set in stone, and nothing on HostelPups can take a payment from you. If that ever changes we will publish the price on this page first, and free browsing will keep working until we do — so nothing you start now gets held to ransom halfway through your search.

How is HostelPups different from JustDial or NoBroker?

We focus only on PGs, hostels, and rental flats, and owner KYC — government ID, video call, and a live location check — is mandatory before any listing can go live. JustDial is a phone book; NoBroker is generic. HostelPups is built specifically for couples, bachelors, students, and pet owners who get rejected elsewhere.

What does HostelPups cost a renter?

Nothing. Browsing listings and contacting owners is free during the launch phase — there is no unlock fee, no subscription, and no brokerage on your rent. You message or call the owner directly through HostelPups. If paid contact plans are introduced later, the price will be shown up front before anything is charged.

How do I know listings are real?

No listing can go live until its owner has cleared KYC — government ID, a video call, and a live location check. Verified owners carry a green badge on their listing. Photos are watermarked, and pushing users off-platform to dodge the process is grounds for removal.

Why use HostelPups when I can find owners' numbers on Google?

Because most owner contact details on Google come from brokers or scrapers, with nothing behind them. Here an owner must clear KYC before a listing can go live, contacting them is free, and you talk to them directly. Messages and calls run inside HostelPups, so you are not handing your phone number to an agent to resell.

Are there any broker fees?

None. HostelPups charges no brokerage and takes no commission on your rent, and contacting an owner is free during the launch phase. Rent and deposit are paid directly to the owner — never to HostelPups, and never through an agent.

Can couples or pet owners really find PGs here?

That is exactly who HostelPups is built for. Owners explicitly tag their own listings as couple-friendly, bachelor-friendly, or pet-friendly during signup, and you can filter on those tags — so the places you see are ones whose owner has already said yes, not ones you have to ask and get turned down by.

What if I don't like the PG after visiting?

Nothing is owed. There is no commitment until you sign a rental agreement directly with the owner, and HostelPups never collects token advances, deposits, or rent. Visit as many places as you want — contacting owners is free — and walk away from any of them at no cost. A listing that materially misrepresents its photos or amenities is grounds for removal.
